Melina makes her way to the ring with a pink & yellow attire that we’ve seen before. Alicia Fox comes to the ring with a mircophone and annouces that she will be at Night of Champions but not as a lumberjack but as the Women’s & Diva’s Championship. The match starts and it ends quickly with Melina hitting Alicia with the sunset flip and scream for the victory.

A veteran of the ring, Victoria proved to be a good mentor to Melina in 2007. Pairing up to show that they were the most dominant Divas in WWE, they took down the likes of Mickie, Candice & Maria. Even though they never fought in a one-on-one contest, the Black Widow deserves recognition for highlighting Melina’s many good factors.

Melina made a statement as a solo Diva at the expense of Trish Stratus in 2005. Defeating her in a Battle Royal, and having her taken hostage led to Melina getting her first ever Women’s Championship shot. Even though she lost to the Golden Diva, Melina continued to make an impact as a WWE Diva through defeating Trish in solo action in 2006. Despite not forming a friendship, Melina sees Trish as one of her many inspirations in WWE.

With more drama than The Hills, Melina’s relationship with Maria is pretty complex. First, they hate each other (providing the BEST slap we’ve ever seen!), then they’re working together, then fighting, then giving love advice and so on. Maria can get down and dirty with Melina as well as alongside her.

In Melina’s early wrestling years on RAW, Mickie was her main adversary. Mickie’s high-flying energy has proved to match Melina’s aggression, highlighted with some fun matches! Mickie has shown her BFF side, helping Melina through her heel injury of 2008, and since then, the pair have proved unstoppable as a team.

Whilst Melina was on a meteoric rise in 2007, Candice aimed to become the first Diva Search contestant that was crowned Women’s Champion. This involved derailing Melina’s momentum, and after singles, tag and pudding matches, Candice was able to achieve her aim. However, Candice is also a good tag team partner to Melina, teaming up when the Latina Firecracker returned to WWE.

Upon winning the Women’s Title, Melina’s spotlight was overtaken by Ashley’s Playboy spread. Obviously Melina wasn’t happy, and set out to regain the spotlight at Wrestlemania 23 against Ashley for the title. Melina was successful, and since then, they have been at each other’s throats in singles and tag action. Never friends, but forever foes, Ashley didn’t prove strong enough of a threat to Melina’s dominance.

2005 will always be remembered as the year MNM arrived on the scene. But Melina did choose to make a name for herself by fighting against one of WWE’s most popular Divas, Torrie Wilson. Having beat her twice in the same week, Torrie didn’t show the WWE Universe that she could cut it against the A List Diva.
