Now think back to last August (if you can’t click here). Remember us telling you about a Melina fan with a dream who’s made her way to WWE? Well here is the follow up post nearly 8 months on, and it’s good news- she is currently Queen of FCW (basically Women’s Champion), and is rumoured to be called up something in the next few months! She has made quite the impact, being dubbed a Pocket Rocket with her high flying arsenal. Everyone on Melina-Unlimited (and its forums) is proud of April accomplishing her dream and who knows? She may get to fight her idol Melina one day.

As part of Women’s History Month, WWE posted an update about the 25 Most Impactful Women in WWE History, and Melina comes in at number 14 (yeah me neither):

During her five years with WWE, the beautiful Diva has gone from the manager of 3 time WWE Tag Team Champions MNM to one of the only women to hold both the Divas and Women’s Championships. Her success can be attributed to a miz of athletic and cunning coupled with perhaps the most impressive arsenal of offensive maneouvers in Diva history. From the Extreme Makeover to the Primal Scream, the lovely Latina has countless ways to finish off her opponents. No wander WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart called her one of the best wrestlers in the world

Nicole just sent me an email about how the fanbook was received, and in brief- MELINA LOVED IT! She wanted to thank you guys for sending in the messages, and chances are she’s reading them right now. MU Presents Best Melina Match Ever Vote

Inspired by WWE’s Women’s History Month, I’m going to start up a new one month only feature where you can pick the ULTIMATE Melina match! I’ve shortlisted 10 matches from the past 3 years since MU’s inception, and you can pick your favourites. From that, the top 5 will go forward to a voting panel with the VIPS of Melina World Order (if you haven’t already, join!), and they will help put the matches in order of significance. So now to the voting- the poll is here below, and you can vote once a day out of the 10 chosen by me:

Voting closes on the 19th March, and the week leading up to Wrestlemania will be when we reveal what matches have made Melina-Unlimited’s Top 5 Melina Matches…EVER!

Divas DVD in the Works

WWE is working on a Divas DVD, and if we’re lucky, we’ll see some of our Diva, Melina featured!

WWE is currently working on a new DVD set for the Divas. The set will feature segments and matches from WWE Divas of the past and present. The only former WWE Diva confirmed for the project so far is Trish Stratus.
