I told you last night on Twitter that I would add a set of untagged promos to the growing collection MU has, and I have stuck to my promise. In addition to the set we added earlier, the last 5 photos are indeed tagless! I’m doing this as a thank you for breaking the record in the gallery last night with our mad Twitter update. I know there has been some chatter about the Featured Promotion banner for Diva-Fiva.Com. Well it’s the start of MU’s new wrestling site promotions, where new, upcoming fansites can get the chance of being promoted here on Melina-Unlimited! The criteria is simple- your site must be less than a year old and be of high quality. Email me or Tweet to us about the opportunity to be plugged next month in March.

Ta-da! I finally managed to get an order in with my good friend Kim, and so we now have a new layout! It was obvious that the only photo choice I had was Melina’s most recent Diva Focus, and I’ve spent the past day or so coding in 3 columns! I think that it was worth it because I think the layout came out really nice. Feel free to comment on the layout either in the chatboard or in this update!

In regards to our plans for the next 6 months- tonight I’ll open the first of the new subsites I’ve been working on for the past couple of weeks or so since the whole injury shindig started, and you’ll be able to access them on the right sidebar.

I’ve gotta say that I have been overwhelmed with ideas for what to do with MU during the months of Melina’s injuries- in the space of a week, I’ve had over 100 emails featuring your ideas! One idea is going to be coming up over the next couple of days, which is a tribute to MNM. Another interesting idea that got emailed to me was a Q&A session with me, which would be incredibly cool to do. So if you guys want to send in questions to me about the site, Melina and any rumours you’ve heard, please feel free to ask, and I’ll get up an FAQ type thing for the end of the week (which just so happens to be my 18th birthday!)

In the next month, I plan on running 3 competitions for 3 prizes up for grabs! This is to basically thank you all for the amazing support you’ve shown both Melina and the site in this rough time. Not to mention the fact that we’re turning 3 years old- get it, 3’s the magic number for the next month!

Did I mention that I’m also getting a new layout up, which will be featured right up until March to celebrate our third birthday?!

As confirmed by WWE, Melina is now out for 6 months, and is set of surgery in the coming weeks. But we don’t want to completely go away- there’s got to be SOMETHING you guys would like to see. At the moment, the most likely thing to happen is the reprise of Project Melina, where we’re looking for the best design for a Melina outfit. I’m currently contacting various people in regards to prizes, so I’ll be sure to keep you updated with that.

But we can’t just have one thing keeping this site going- is there something you’d LOVE to see on the site? If so, this week is the time to submit ideas in for us to implement over the coming months. I can tell you that I already have 2 new subsites in the works, as well as flashbacks, downloads and random stuff! So please reply to this post asking for things you’d like to see here, and let’s make these next 6 months fly by!

EDITED: We’ve had a lot of great ideas, most of them along the lines of a Top 10 Melina matches EVER. I’ll get started with creating polls and such for you to vote on. I was also intrigued by the competitions people have been asking for. I’ll do my best to get some prizes lined up, but we’re still going to be buzzing over the next 6 months!

Today has been filled with a tonne of drama, with the site being hacked and all. But everything is back online, with most of the site completely up-to-date. However, I’ve decided to only update the site where necessary, because I could do with some downtime from MU. The full relaunch of the site will come on my 18th birthday, January 15th, as I plan to order a new layout for then.

Don’t worry- I’m not online. I wrote this yesterday as a special message to round off 2009, and triggered it to appear on the website today.

I just want to say Merry Christmas to everyone that visits the site, whether you’re a regular on the shoutbox declaring your love for Melina, right down to the fellow webmasters who help me where necessary. This year has been very tough for me- if you knew half of the stuff I’ve gone through, you’d be wandering how I’ve managed to maintain MU! But to tell you the truth, maintaining this amazing site is what keeps me sane from all the drama of the outside world, and if you knew how much running this site means to me, then you’d feel the same.

Sites come and go depending on “phases” (trust me- I have a graveyard full of em!), but when you find a site that’s just right for you, it’ll be a massive success. I hope that 2009 has proven this in terms of MU, as I feel we’ve sky rocketed in terms on popualrity. We’ve had nearly 750,000 hits this year, and I couldn’t have fathomed that we’d be the site still supporting Melina to the absolute fullest! I’d like to thank you all for making this a big year for my first site (yes MU is my first ever site, from Piczo to this is a big step!).

I don’t know whether Melina will be tapping on her Blackberry coming onto MU at Christmas, but I hope she is so she can read this. I can speak for every Melina fan old and new when I say we are all so proud of what you’ve been able to accomplish this year! Even though it wasn’t rewarded properly with the DOTY Slammy, everyone knows that 2009 will be known as the Year of the Firecracker! Everyone who comes onto the site, and the people who work on it would like to wish you a safe, restful and (most importantly) happy holidays, and we know that 2010 will be a bigger year for you, and we’ll be there every step of the way.
