MSN.Com conducted interviews with some of the Divas…unfortunately, Melina wasn’t one of them. BUT we did get a new photo out of it. With an interview for her official fansite, MichelleMcCool.Net, the current Women’s Champ talks about her feud with Melina:

MM.net: Over two-thousand votes were cast by your faithful fans on MichelleMcCool.Net, and Melina vs. Michelle has been voted as our favorite feud. This comes as no real surprise to us, as the both of you share great chemistry with one-another. A modern day Lita vs. Trish Stratus, if you will! As the story between the two of you continues to unfold, what can you promise your viewers and readers for the future? Our tongues are wagging for a chair shot, you know…

MM: Thank you! Melina has been great to work with and our NOC match is by far my all time favorite. I am very proud of that match and what we were able to do….work wise, psychology wise, everything! :) It was great to put our minds together and go, “What could we do that hasn’t been done before?” It was actually nice because even a few of the guys said, “Man, I wish I would have thought of that!” :) We don’t always get opportunities, so we wanted to take full advantage of it. Things have definitely changed, and continue to, as far as the role of divas in wrestling. It’s just refreshing when you receive a lot of praise and appreciation for an actual wresting match. I would give anything to have a no DQ match, a street fight, something. I can promise you this….it’d be one you wouldn’t forget! Blood sweat and tears…it’d all be left in the arena!!!

For once, I actually agree with her! The NOC match was beyond awesome (better than the RAW effort as of late), and I hope that we get Melina vs McCool round 3 in a street fight. We say bring it on!

We’re introducing a new feature on Melina-Unlimited, which I have called “SmackTalk”. This is basically an update on my thoughts on Smackdown shows Melina is in, and where I can air my opinions on what’s she done over the week…You can join in too by replying to the post.

THIS WEEKS SMACKDOWN
Melina and her “BFF” Maria were talking backstage. I’ve personally had enough of Melina carrying around Maria as if she were her packmule. I’d much rather have her be a blunt talking Diva rather than a sappy sympathetic BFF to someone who she clearly doesn’t care about. I’m kinda hoping that MELINA turns out to be Dolph’s girl just to get rid of Maria. And to answer Maria’s question…Melina is dating the hottest guy in WWE…NER!

Now to the match. Something was off in Melina’s performance, and I think I sussed it out. Melina has a mahusive bruise on the side of her ribcage (thank you HD), and it looks like Melina took a nasty fall recently. We’re waiting on the moment Melina can finally shut McCool up…God that segment was torture! Michelle cannot get any form of heat on her and no reaction, whereas people care for Melina. I hope Melina gets her match against McCool at Breaking Point with the return of the California Dream.

Melina is backstage with her BFF, Maria, and tells her that she spotted Dolph with another girl earlier. Maria reassures her that he isn’t cheating. Cue Dolph coming in that gets Melina out of scene. I kinda stopped there.

Melina vs Layla
I’m going to completely omit the minute long speech from the INJURED McCool and get straight to the match. It’s basically a quick fix for us fans as Melina gets some offense in, “injures” her knee which Layla works on, but Melina get the Primal Scream in for the win.

POST MATCH: Melina goes up to McCool and shoves her down again, standing over her proudly.

I’m guessing you all missed me this past week…well, I’m hoping you did! Chris put it perfectly by saying that summer ending makes ups all go mad, especially when you got a whole new school year to prep for. It’s literally as simple as that when it comes to my absense, and it will be the reason why the updates on MU will be slowing down as we all adjust.

I have to say I am MAJORLY impressed with the amount of emails I received in a week- NEARLY 80! MOST from people wanting to donate photos to the site! Thank you guys SO much for sending in pics whether they’re from Summerslam Axxess, the show itself (I hear there was a dark match…) and other bits and bobs. Over the next week, I will do my best to add everything to the site, and the people sending will get props for it.

Thank you again, and it’s the fans that keep MU going, and it kept me going this week. You all rock!

Melina has a bigger role than as of late for this weeks SmackDown! episode, to reveal the spoilers, simply highlight the box below!

Melina and Maria are in a backstage segment similar to that of the past few weeks. Maria says she wishes people would be happy for her and her relationship with Dolph. Melina informs Maria that she saw Dolph with another woman to which he claims as his sister.

Later on, Michelle McCool comes out to the ring on crutches and grabs a microphone, claiming that Melina injured her knee last week and she won’t be competing. Michelle sits ring side for the following match which is Melina Vs. Layla. Melina defeats Layla with her splits finisher and after the match, Melina shoves Michelle off her chair.
