PART 01

The De-Droughtin’ continues today, as it was hotly requested that I uploaded the missing photos from the galleries! I’ve started with the WWE.Com digitals, and later tonight, missing captures from this year as well as late last year will be added in. The digitals I’ve added are the last 2 sets from the European Tour in Newcastle and Belfast, and one set of RAW Digitals from March 9th, 2009.

Well, I’m bored and don’t want to watch football, so I’m introducing a new feature here to MU. I know it’s been longer, but we’re presenting Day 01 of the De-Droughtin’ process! It’s basically a guarantee that you will be getting something new until Melina gets a PROPER photoshoot- by that, we mean one that is in her profile.

I got asked about Hall of Fame photos, and I have been scouring the net like a mad axe murderer looking for some shots. I’ve found 4! One speaks a thousand words, and puts to rest all the rumours regarding Melina’s relationship with John Morrison!

Now I need YOUR help! In order to keep this running until Melina gets a proper shoot, I need your ideas as to what should be updated. If there is anything missing in the gallery i.e. digitals, PLEASE ALERT ME HERE! If you are a new Melina fan, and want to see a retro flashback, please respond! If you’re hiding candid Melina gems, get donating please!

Melina has got the Daily Diva today, and it’s an outtake (well, a closeup) of one of the shots we got from Melina’s ‘Happy Blue Year/Royal Blue’ photoshoot at the beginning of the year! Click any of the links above to view the beautiful shot!

After being majorly lazy with putting up pages, I am slowly but surely getting there! To start with, the media section is now up when you click on it on the main layout! There’s not much there, but I’m sure it’ll wet your appetite for now what with nearly 40 forum signatures made by (mostly) me. I’ve also added a whole new subsection for icons which I am aptly calling “Icon Boutique”! I’ve added over 400 icons to it, and I plan on adding a lot more in the coming days! On Tuesday, Melina and Kelly Kelly teamed to face Beth Phoenix and Layla! Kelly won with a K2 to Layla, but apparently, Melina introduced a new crab maneuver! WWE.Com added 2 digitals that accentuated her most valued feature, but site visitors Taylor and Lisha sent me 3 candid shots of Melina (before you ask, 1 front, 2 back!). I’d like to thank them, and hope they had a great time at the show!

We here at MU love it when WWE screws something up thinking we won’t notice, and here is another prime example! I just got my hands on a NEW promo of Melina for 2009! It’s an outtake from the beige shoot we keep seeing (it’s the photo from the NY Islanders promo), in a larger form! Yes, after showing us fans that she cares, Melina has got backstage heat because of her apparent disapproval of moving to Smackdown:

Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that current WWE Women’s Champion Melina is gaining quite a bit of heat with backstage officials for displaying what’s been reported as an open distaste coming from her recent draft from the Raw brand to Smackdown. The general feeling amongst the other wrestlers in the locker room is that she shouldn’t be complaining as everyone in the company is subject to the draft, and more major names than her have moved in past WWE drafts.

It should be noted that Melina has had a history in the WWE locker room of taking her role as a Diva quite literally, and that she has since worked hard to clear her name and past reputation. This recent development obviously does not help her cause.

This has annoyed the HELL out of me! I think it’s safe to say that we all know that Melina is being treated pretty poorly by WWE within the past few months (losing her streak at WM, no shoot in 2 months), but this just takes the cake. Seriously: CANDICE COMPLAINED OPENLY TOO! And what does she get? No complaints! We all know who should have moved brands, but obviously some higher power wanted to move Melina for their own personal gain. It just shows what WWE thinks of Melina and her fans, and it’s not that pretty…
