Don’t worry- I’m not online. I wrote this yesterday as a special message to round off 2009, and triggered it to appear on the website today.

I just want to say Merry Christmas to everyone that visits the site, whether you’re a regular on the shoutbox declaring your love for Melina, right down to the fellow webmasters who help me where necessary. This year has been very tough for me- if you knew half of the stuff I’ve gone through, you’d be wandering how I’ve managed to maintain MU! But to tell you the truth, maintaining this amazing site is what keeps me sane from all the drama of the outside world, and if you knew how much running this site means to me, then you’d feel the same.

Sites come and go depending on “phases” (trust me- I have a graveyard full of em!), but when you find a site that’s just right for you, it’ll be a massive success. I hope that 2009 has proven this in terms of MU, as I feel we’ve sky rocketed in terms on popualrity. We’ve had nearly 750,000 hits this year, and I couldn’t have fathomed that we’d be the site still supporting Melina to the absolute fullest! I’d like to thank you all for making this a big year for my first site (yes MU is my first ever site, from Piczo to this is a big step!).

I don’t know whether Melina will be tapping on her Blackberry coming onto MU at Christmas, but I hope she is so she can read this. I can speak for every Melina fan old and new when I say we are all so proud of what you’ve been able to accomplish this year! Even though it wasn’t rewarded properly with the DOTY Slammy, everyone knows that 2009 will be known as the Year of the Firecracker! Everyone who comes onto the site, and the people who work on it would like to wish you a safe, restful and (most importantly) happy holidays, and we know that 2010 will be a bigger year for you, and we’ll be there every step of the way.
