Tonight, as we look forward to Melina’s match against Michelle McCool, M-U will look back at previous matches Melina has had at “The Bash” aka The Great American Bash!
Melina accompanied MNM ringside to their match against the newly formed Legion of Doom, in which they lost their Tag Team belts! In a backstage interview, Melina guaranteed that she’d win against Torrie Wilson in their Bra and Panties match. Melina went through with her promise, stripping Torrie down to her Bra and Panties, but Torrie and special guest ref, Candice Michelle got the last laugh, leaving Melina embarassed in her B&Ps!
In a bid to get back her Women’s Championship, Melina took on Candice Michelle for the belt. Candice Michelle defeated Melina to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. Jim Ross points out an interesting fact about Candice Michelle in that she is the first person to take part in the WWE Diva Search to become Women’s champion. Another short match tonight on the card. Candice got the win with her new finisher called the Candy Wrapper (which is a modified standing bulldog/headlock) on Melina to get the pinfall to retain her title.
