Yes, after showing us fans that she cares, Melina has got backstage heat because of her apparent disapproval of moving to Smackdown:

Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that current WWE Women’s Champion Melina is gaining quite a bit of heat with backstage officials for displaying what’s been reported as an open distaste coming from her recent draft from the Raw brand to Smackdown. The general feeling amongst the other wrestlers in the locker room is that she shouldn’t be complaining as everyone in the company is subject to the draft, and more major names than her have moved in past WWE drafts.

It should be noted that Melina has had a history in the WWE locker room of taking her role as a Diva quite literally, and that she has since worked hard to clear her name and past reputation. This recent development obviously does not help her cause.

This has annoyed the HELL out of me! I think it’s safe to say that we all know that Melina is being treated pretty poorly by WWE within the past few months (losing her streak at WM, no shoot in 2 months), but this just takes the cake. Seriously: CANDICE COMPLAINED OPENLY TOO! And what does she get? No complaints! We all know who should have moved brands, but obviously some higher power wanted to move Melina for their own personal gain. It just shows what WWE thinks of Melina and her fans, and it’s not that pretty…

I was fuming when I read this & I still am. It’s totaly understandable for her to be upset, she should be allowed to say how she feels. Argh it really bugs me how Melina is being treated!! :@

You already know where I stand on this, i’m serously pissed off. Especially since Maria, Candice and Torrie have all complained and nothing was done to them or said about them.

Seriously I’ve had about enough of the wwe period. I would say more but i’m going to shut up before I say something I can’t take back.

Also you should add that she has had the same song she debuted with 4 years ago and like Candice and Ashley had 5 songs each within 2 years! I think Melina will turn heel. =(

I wrote this reported on the forum like while ago. Its upsets me that WWE is doing that, whats behind it this, as we know, Melina hasn’t done anything wrong. Hopfully they will bring Melina back to RAW.. July 13 RAW is coming to orlando and I’m gonna be heading there once tickets go on sale and I’m praying my heart out I get to see Melina. I also want to see CM Punk and Rey Mysterio. I saw tons of wrestlers all the times I been there, the best and top superstars, the only top superstars I haven’t see is John Cena… WWE Superstar I believe does taping on Monday, so hopfully I get lucky.

I totally agree. I was heated when I read it. I love Melina she has always been my favorite diva. She was on Raw for like three years and she’s not allowed to cry that she’s leaving a show and all of the fans that watch it. It is such crap.

WWE has always used Melina to their advantage. They have not allowed her to progress to the ought most success. The potencial that Melina brings to WWE is obvious. She is always not allowed to be the best she can be due to the management. It is a business, but they are working with individuals that should have a say in their career. Some get special benefits allowing them to flim moves, attend special events out of WWE. Melina is an extreme strong individual. She will adapt to her new surroundings and make everything spectacular for her loyal fans. Her emotional expressions on Monday last Raw match. It was a look of sadness, hurt and betrayal. I believe that the reason they moved her is to bring up the TV ratings for Smackdown! So she can train the inferior divas. I agree totally with the statement of Shirlz. May serenity become everything amd for everyone.

The reason they have not allowed her to progress to the outright most success is b/c they don’t want any diva being more popular or have the success that Trish Stratus had. I love Trish and all but I think it’s becoming the case with the divas like Beth, Mickie, Melina, Jillian, Natayla and Katie. The don’t want anyone near Trish Stratus level. Trish was their golden diva and how dare anyone gets near the success she had.

So one guy from one wrestling gossip site “reports” that Melina is whining about the move. All the other reports I’ve seen are based on this one persons article. How does anyone even know its true? I’m sure she’s upset to be leaving friends behind but personally I think she’s gone to the better brand as far as divas currently go, assuming that smackdown makes use of Natalya & Katie Lea like they did with Extreme Expose, there’s also Gail Kim, Michelle McCool, thats 5 women who can do extremely well in the ring, also Candace if she can get her confidence back & good potential with Layla & Eve. RAW has got Beth, Jillian, Maryse, Kelly Kelly &…….Rosa & the Bellas did I forget someone & that god awful butterfly belt. I feel sorry for Beth Jillian & Maryse. Plus if she is back with Morrison then I think she’ll have the last laugh. I reckon the story was mostly crap based on the fact that she cried publicly, big deal, doesn’t mean she starting shit stirring in the locker room.

But I’m kinda happy she’s going on smackdown go 2 wwe.com and on smackdown they’re is a poll that says which new smackdown superstar will make the best influence or something like that and they show all the superstars that been drafted they’re including melina , i voted for her and sh e is in the lead with 28% the second person is 23%! Vote for her and show wwe that a diva is winning a poll out of many popular male superstars , maybe they will relize that she is important to the fans!
